Athletes and spectators come out for the 26th Annual Sandman Triathlon



This triathlon is known as one of the best in the mid-Atlantic region. The race includes a 1K open ocean swim, 14-mile Bike ride and 5K run. This year there were over 700 participants and thousands of spectators. One special group of participants was able to raise $7,500.00 for the Fanconi Anemia Research.


Todd and Sue Cimicata were a part of the Wyatt's Warriors to raise money for Fanconi Anemia Research.

Leslie Fedon, Cox High School Teacher and Steve Patterson ran in the race.

Kirsten Fehrenkamp, Craid Lauinger, with children Bodie and Ronan came from Alexandria Va to participate in the race.

From left: Volunteers Jameson Parker A.T.C., Dr. Sandra Glasson and Sandy Wasko P.T. were on hand in case anyone was injured during the event.

Ashley, Brittany and Caroline came out to cheer their dad on as he ran the race.
